Here is Fortesque! He arrived in June 2020 as another youngster that the farm he came from wanted to get rid of him as he wasn't dong well at that time and they were downsizing the herd due to economic pressures. He is a lovely chap and it breaks our hearts to think of what happens to the vast majoriy of these beautiful creatures. He soon settled into his new routine which involves a lot of eating and plenty of laying about chewing the cud or sleeping - sounds ideal doesn't it?
All of our Highland herd are untame as we try to leave them as wild as is feasible (in Essex) so they can exhibit their natural behaviours. If you can spare the price of a coffee out nce a month to help Fortesque stay safe in his home, please do think about helping as we do need a lot more support to meet the bills :(
